Frankincense Tea

Frankincense Tea

Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) - the original gift to baby Jesus! Used since ancient times as tea and oil for a wide range of purposes such as brain function, cough, colds, and more...

With modern science slowly unlocking the keys to this aromatic resin, results have been promising but not yet convincing - and with further studies being needed.

Still, if you would like to experience the purported healing powers of Frankincense just as the ancients did and do see any great results then please let us know in a review as we'd love to hear about it!

Note that this frankincense from India may occasionally contain small pebbles so is recommended only for burning.

organically grown India

Ingredients:

1-2 tiny pieces of pure frankincense resin - Boswellia sacra or Boswellia serrata - preferably.

Instructions:

Place resin pieces in a cup or teapot.

Ladle freshly boiled water (90-95 deg C) over the resin.

Cover & steep for 10-15 minutes or longer for stronger infusion.

Strain and sip slowly.

Optional: Add ginger, honey, or lemon for flavour.

Tip: Soaking the resin overnight prior to brewing may soften it and free additional beneficial compounds.

Health Benefits of Frankincense Tea

Frankincense resin is used in conventional Ayurvedic as well as Middle Eastern medicine. Research on frankincense as a tea is limited, but many of the benefits are attributed to boswellic acids and other active compounds.
